ARC-16 Remote Control

Full-Time, Stand-Alone, or Multi-Site Remote Control

The ARC-16 is a flexible and expandable broadcast facility control system that offers configuration options for stand-alone, full-time and multi-site remote control and monitoring. Offering sixteen channels each of metering, status and command, and expandable to sixty-four channels per system, the ARC-16 meets broadcast facility control needs in a wide range of environments.

The user-friendly front panel makes setup, monitoring and control easy. AutoLoad software is included for PC-based setup and configuration archival. For automatic facility control with time-based and event-driven routines, AutoPilot® software provides a full-featured solution for an unlimited number of ARC-16 sites.

Configurations

The ARC-16 system is available in three unique configurations, allowing flexibility of integration. No matter which configuration you use, any ARC-16 can be converted to a different configuration at any time.

Full-Time Control

Many live stations prefer a full-time system allowing operators to remotely monitor and control transmitter site equipment from the studio and receive notification when out-of-tolerance conditions occur.

The ARC-16 Full-Time system includes one studio ARC-16 unit, one transmitter ARC-16 unit and one set of internal communication modems for connecting to telco, STL, SCA, TRL, or digital communication links. The ARC-16 transmitter unit provides 16 channels each of analog metering and status, and 32 control outputs (16 raise, 16 lower).

Stand-Alone Capability

If your station is automated, you will appreciate the convenience of a dial-up transmitter control system that allows walk away operation. Automation frees up station personnel for production, promotion, news, and sales. The ARC-16 Stand-Alone is perfect for off-premises monitoring because dial-up access allows many control points.

The ARC-16 Stand-Alone system provides the same features as an ARC-16 transmitter unit, but also includes an ESI Enhanced Speech Interface. The ESI provides telephone control and monitoring of site equipment, as well as alarm dial-out functionality for reporting user-defined out-of-tolerance status and metering conditions.

Multi-Site Capability

The multi-site capabilities of the ARC-16 system offer a wide-range of solutions for today's streamlined broadcast operations. A Multi-Site configuration gives you the ability to control two or more sites in a system from any connected ARC-16 unit, and notification of out-of-tolerance alarm conditions can be displayed at all sites. By adding an ESI to any unit in the system, you have access to all connected sites with a single phone call. Each ARC-16 system supports up to four interconnected units.
