LITTLETON, MA (2/22/18) – Burk Technology today announced plans to feature its new Arcturus RF Site Monitoring System at NAB 2018.

Arcturus is a complete, turnkey solution providing protection and safety for multiplexed antenna sites. Important parameters are monitored and immediate action is taken when necessary, minimizing the risk of costly damage to combiners, transmission lines or antennas. Transmitter interlocks are controlled by Burk’s new high speed VSWR protection.

“Arcturus protects your RF plant and allows engineers and site managers to precisely monitor their entire facilities remotely or in person,” said Paul Shulins, Vice President Chief Technology Officer at Burk. Shulins added, “The system’s built-in trend analysis uses proprietary algorithms to predict out of tolerance conditions for VSWR, line pressure, and room temperatures, allowing operators to take corrective action before safe operating levels are exceeded.”

Arcturus is the newest member of the ARC Plus family of remote monitoring and control products from Burk Technology. Full compatibility with existing ARC Plus and AutoPilot® installations enables integrated NOC views and flexible, managed control interfaces between contributing stations and the multiplexed RF facility.
