Custom Views Championship - Winner Announced!Burk Technology is pleased to announce the winner of the 2007 Custom Views Championship Contest. The contest invited broadcasters to use built-in design tools to create a custom user interface for Burk’s Lynx 5, AutoPilot® 3 and AutoPilot Plus remote monitoring and control software. Robert Yankowitz, RF Systems Manager for CBS Boston, submitted the winning entry. For his prize, Yankowitz elected to receive a Burk Watchband™ AM/FM/RDS receiver for remote monitoring of market stations.

Operators can monitor and control tower lights and have immediate access to FAA contact info, tower locations and antenna registration numbers. The entry is part of a series of 14 custom views used to monitor 8 transmitters at 3 different CBS Boston sites. See the top three contest entries. Read more about the contest and judging. What are custom views? Whether you use the Burk GSC3000, VRC2500, ARC-16 or ARC Plus, custom views allow you to design your own screens for viewing remote site conditions. You can place meters, status indicators and controls anywhere on the screen, and you can access multiple sites on the same display. Maps are included for creating geographic views of your operation with drill-down alarm management. The designer integrates your own custom images, too: how about status LEDs overlayed on a transmitter diagram to show operators where the fault has occurred? |
