Minimum System Requirements:

  • MS-DOS 3.0 or higher
  • Intel 286-series processor minimum*
  • 512k RAM minimum, 1MB minimum for AutoPilot
  • 1MB free hard drive space
  • Available COM1 or COM2 port for direct connection
  • Bell 212A compatible modem for dial-up modem connection
  • Version 4.5 or 4.6 firmware for the ARC-16. 5 series firmware requires CDL/AutoPilot 5.4.

*The ARCSETUP program for CDL and AutoPilot requires a processor speed slower than 300MHz. To use ARCSETUP with faster computers, we recommend using a free third-party slowdown utility. The main CDL and AutoPilot applications do not have a speed limitation.

CDL Installation Instructions:

  1. Unzip CDL46.zip it to its own directory.
  2. From the DOS prompt, change directory to the location of the unzipped files and then type "install."
  3. Follow on-screen installations.

After the installation is complete, run CDL from the DOS command prompt by typing "arc16" (for the main application) or "arcsetup" (for setup application).

AutoPilot Installation Instructions:

Note: CDL must be installed prior to installing AutoPilot.

  1. Unzip AP46.zip it to its own directory.
  2. From the DOS prompt, change directory to the location of the unzipped files and then type "install."
  3. Follow on-screen installations. AutoPilot must be installed in the same directory as CDL.

After the installation is complete, run CDL from the DOS command prompt by typing "ARC16" (for the main application) or "ARCSETUP" (for setup application). Launch AutoPilot from the main application using the keys listed on-screen.
