Inside Sales Representative

Description of Job Opening

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating and following up on leads, advancing them to successful closure of sales opportunities within the Radio, TV and Land Mobile Radio marketplaces. This individual will actively pursue sales targets via telephone, e-mail and social media.


  • Cold call prospects that are generated by external lead sources
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
  • Identify decision makers within targeted accounts and generate sales within existing customer base
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary sales strategies
  • Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team member
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects within Salesforce
  • Deliver sales presentations to prospective customers
  • Work to exceed sales targets
  • Support Marketing efforts by going to trade shows, exhibits and other marketing events
  • Handle in-bound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert to sales
  • Emphasize product features and benefits, create quotes, discuss credit terms, close orders
  • Effectively manage your sales forecast
  • Enter tasks and activities in Salesforce to track opportunities
  • Review incoming sales orders for accuracy
  • Develop product knowledge expertise

Skills and Qualifications:

Required qualifications include:

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Experience in Radio, TV broadcast and/or Land Mobile Radio a plus
  • Ability to prospect and qualify opportunities
  • Positive attitude
  • Strength in digital communication, ability to communicate with prospects on multiple social platforms
  • Strong CRM skills, preferably Salesforce
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including strong listening skills
  • Ability to combat objections
  • Sales closing talent
  • Strong writing skills
  • Driven to succeed
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
